NBA All-Star weekend celeb sightings at The Stoneleigh

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

charles_barkley280x390The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa was hopping with celebrity guests this weekend - all in town for the NBA All-Star game.

On Wednesday evening, patrons in Bolla Bar received a pleasant surprise when former NBA player and “Inside the NBA” on TNT announcer Charles Barkley walked in and shook hands with all of the guests. He told the crowd he would go up to his room, shower and then return to the bar and join them for drinks. The man with a boisterous personality was true to his word.

Other TNT announcers spotted in the lobby of The Stoneleigh were Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Craig Sager and Reggie Miller. Former NBA player Steve Smith was also seen at the hotel after a shopping trip to Stanley Korshak.

Wolf Blitzer, the anchor of CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer,” had lunch in Bolla on Friday and spent some time chatting with Charles Barkley.

Another celebrity guest visited The Spa at The Stoneleigh on Sunday to prepare for a very important meeting. DeShawn Snow, former star on Bravo’s reality show “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and wife of NBA veteran Eric Snow, took a trip to The Spa located on The Stoneleigh’s lower level for a makeup application. She loved the makeup and told the staff she was on her way to meet with Halle Berry!
