Texas native and country star, Pat Green and his wife Kori enjoyed a few summer cocktails in Bolla Bar last night. The pair were seen enjoying a relaxing (if not slightly warm) summer evening and went on to grab dinner at Kenichi later that night. Green’s newest album, What I’m For, was released in January of this year.

Birds are chirping, bulbs are in bloom, a cool breeze (maybe a little too cool earlier this week…) is rushing through the tree branches, and the  patios of Uptown Dallas are abuzz with activity.

Bronzini Crudo with Red Pepper Oil/Garlic Chips and Flat Iron Carpaccio  with Arugula and Robiola (just to name a couple).  Join us in Bolla Bar for Happy Hour this evening and tomorrow from 5:30-7:30.

Savor Dallas is Upon Us!

After five years in the making—- this year’s Savor Dallas is set to be the best EVER. Well, until next year that is. There are a variety of events taking place all weekend long, but the biggest and baddest culinary/wine/spirits showdown will take place on Saturday at the Westin City Center in Downtown Dallas.

The Grand Tasting is being held from 7pm-10pm at The Westin City Center this Saturday evening. Chef Bull will represent Bolla on the main level (rink level) of the event. Guests will have the opportunity to sample Chef Bull’s most recent culinary creations as well as sign up for the opportunity to win a weekend stay package at The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa.

In the weeks leading up to Savor Dallas, Chef Bull has had the opportunity to appear on Good Morning Texas with Savor Dallas’ founder, Jim White.

The Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa also had the opportunity to be a part of a live Savor Dallas virutal tasting on Facebook this past week. Several of  Dallas’ top chefs as well as Jim White participated in an open forum panel to help generate feedback and excitement within Facbook about Savor Dallas. Chef David Bull Featured In Esquire

Pick up the December issue of Esquire to gain access to Master Chef/judge Daniel Boulud’s verdict on Esquire’s best chili recipe. Chef David Bull was invited to compete against Kevin Davis of Steelhead Diner in Seattle (LOVE the Grilled Eastern Oregon Rabbit) and Chef Akhtar Nawab of Elettaria in New York. 

The winning recipe? Chef Bull’s White Bean and Italian-Sausage Chili. The 1st place chili will actually be available in The Stoneleigh’s dining room, Bolla, throughout the months of December and January (given the artic chill that swept through Dallas last night I might be on my way to snag a bowl for lunch myself…).

According to Boulud, Bull’s chili had “…excellent herbal flavor, and a good balance of meat and vegetables. Mmmm. It’s Italian flair in a classic chili - a true interpretation. Soul satisfying. This is chili you want to keep going back to.”
